Revision Crater Deformity Complication of Prior Gynecomastia Surgery
Just finished another example of my Revision Gynecomastia Surgery. This is for an extended crater deformity after multiple chest operations done elsewhere. The adhesion deformity was so extensive that this was compromise surgery. Videos best demonstrate the adhesion crater deformities and surgical solutions.
The best way to prevent a Crater Deformity Complication of Gynecomastia Surgery is by selecting the right surgeon. Although I see many patients unhappy after surgery done elsewhere, this is a complication that I have never created myself.
Hope this helps,
Michael Bermant, M.D.

Anatomy of Puffy Nipple Complication after Gynecomastia Surgery
It is amazing just how many unhappy patients from other surgeons have asked for my help after gynecomastia surgery. I just reviewed the past few year and found over 500 unhappy gynecomastia surgery patients - all from other doctors.
New resource explains Puffy Nipple Complication After Gynecomastia Surgery. Explore the problems of liposuction only surgery and the deformity that happens when gland left behind does not compress like surrounding fat. Find drawings, links, photographs, video before and after surgery.
This is a very detailed page with many links explaining the concepts involved. It took quite some time to create with all of its information.
Hope this helps,

We see many patients from around the world not happy after surgery by another doctor. Revision Tummy Tuck Surgery is often an option to tighten loose skin, muscles, and fascia. Scars often can be revised. Options depend on the original problem, what was done, surgical technique, skill of the surgeon, how you healed, and many other factors best determined during a consultation or a Preliminary Remote Discussion. Learn about his Tumescent Tummy Tuck comfort, healing, recovery, and find many before, during, and after surgery to revise problems with the stomach and abdomen.

Men Wearing Girdles News Piece Ridicules Body Shaping Garments for Deformity
Guys are wearing girdles WHAS11.com Louisville, Kentucky http://bit.ly/2zc44 misses the point of stress and emotion of living with deformity. I wonder if that station would do a segment on a cancer or trauma victim who lost their nose and was wearing a prosthetic nose piece that fell off into the soup bowl during a formal dinner?
Gynecomastia male breast enlargement is a contour issue with a strong emotional component. Those with it can be teased and tormented and tend to hide their deformity from the public with multiple layers of clothing, not participating in activities, hiding their breasts by hunching shoulders. You can listen to the emotion of living with gynecomastia here:
The Emotion and Stress of Living with Gynecomastia
After major weight loss, the skin may never shrink. The folds of flesh are a painful reminder of the mass that used to be there. Tissues bounce, the fold of extra hanging skin needs to be "packed in" when sitting down and gets in the way of many activities. These individuals can also be very stressed out and emotionally sensitive. You can see several examples here.
Loose Skin After Weight Loss
Both problems can force people to seek solutions before they are ready. Gynecomastia patients may need stabilization of their problem before considering surgery. They may need to lose weight first. Weight loss patients may have more to loose before they are done. Surgery too soon with further weight loss can result in more loose skin. Being patient helps.
Several years ago we started cheating in our office. After Gynecomastia Compression Garments can reduce swelling and discomfort after surgery. A Second Stage Compression Garment can help with evolving scars. This second stage garment looks like a compression gym shirt but really stabilizes the body and contour issues. We let our patients who were very stressed out try on a Second Stage Garment to help while they were waiting for their problem to stabilize or loose further weight. You should have seen the expressions on their faces. The transformation was instantaneous. They would not take off the garments. You can see the effect these Body Shaping Garments have with both before and after pictures. Movies show the effect of bouncing and bending of these Body Shapers. I call them an Emotional Band-Aid. What the garments offer is a temporary contour solution, dignity, relief of stress, and the ability to live life again and be patient until the problem stabilizes. Surgery can then deal with a more stabile situation and achieve better results. We have patients wearing these garments around the world, even in the hot tropical latitudes and those in hot desert environments. When they come back for their surgical sculpture, they relate how the compression garments helped them emotionally, relaxed them while they enjoyed the gym, playground, or even going out to dinner with less stress. Yes, the garments are only a temporary fix, just like a prosthetic nose covering a defect. When they come off, the problem remains. But as an emotional band-aide, these Body Shaping Garments are a phenomenal tool to reduce stress and tension while waiting until Gynecomastia Surgery, Male Mastopexy Chest Lift, Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty, or Body Lift Surgery can offer a better solution.
Hope this helps,

Standard Video Male Chest to Document Gynecomastia Drooping and Deformity
Over the past 11 years I have been evolving my video documentation of the human body, standardizing each body region and problem. Here is the current version for the male chest, gynecomastia, male chest ptosis and drooping, scars, and deformity. Movies really add dimension. Elements of the problem that otherwise do not show with still pictures become obvious. This particular transgender patient's video shows the adhesions after breast implant placement and removal (by another doctor). The dynamic scars show quite well with the arms on hips pectoral muscles relaxed then tightened. The breast fat and gland and drooping are demonstrated very well. Missing components of the video are a shot of the patient turning 360 degrees with the arms on hips which is used for the massive weight loss patient to show the extent of the folds of skin around the back and under the arms. A back view is also part of that series. You can then follow the link on that page to see the movie before after surgery

Body Shaping Without Surgery
Body Shapers Garments that Shape With No Surgery
I see many patients that are not ready for surgery but are still emotionally upset about their contour problems. Check out these new pages that show how Second Stage body sculpting garments can help with several contour problems. Each link has multiple pictures showing the patient with and without the garment so you can evaluate the change in static photos. However, the real change comes with motion and emotion. It is very rewarding seeing the changes on the patients' faces and hearing their comments about how the garments can help with confidence and make the body look better especially with moving. Tissues are stabilized and do not bounce as much.

Body Shaping Black Vest for Shaping the Male Chest of a Body Builder During Weight Loss Check out this black garment for the male chest.
Body Shaping Puffy Nipples of Gynecomastia with a garment can be much better than adhesive tape. Prolonged use of tape can cause scars and pigmentation changes.
Body Shaping of the Very Obese Male
These garments have additional targeted compression panels and work much better than others I have evaluated. Some prefer additional compression beyond the chest. Explore options of Male Body Shaping Clothing at The Surgery Store.

The Human Body in Motion and Plastic Surgery
The beautiful body is more than what a still picture shows. There is poetry in how the muscles and skin move during sports, fun, and just interacting. A frozen patient on a picture can show much, but no where as much as watching them moving, living, and alive.
A great plastic surgeon Julia Terzis taught me that animation, how the body moves, is important. Watching her videos documenting nerve injuries, reconstruction, and how patients moved inspired me to better understand the body in motion. Her grants permitted movies, too expensive at that time for most of us, to record the problem and track the evolution of the improvement after surgery.
Over the years, I tried to show problems of movement using still images. Standard photographic views with muscles tight can show deformities of scars. Firmer gland of gynecomastia tends to reveal itself when muscles are tight since the gland compresses differently than the softer fat. However, movies just show much more. When digital movies of the miniDV format became available, I saw a reasonably priced solution. I have been trying to document the problem and then the surgical solutions since. What I have found has been inspirational.
Check out this page about the deformity after another doctor's liposuction. The still images with muscles compressed and relaxed show the crater deformity after excessive liposuction. Impressive, but not as much as the movies about the same problem.
However, taking the movies, editing them, and finding how to make them easily available to the public takes a great deal of time.
